(Gotta register though)

Kinda barebones, but *really* small.

Here's more info from the seller's site

Hey, I just saw these on TechTV last night and apparently they can take up to a 1 Gig processor. The systems are just barebones so I do not know if the price is that good!

Yeah, the price is sorta high, but still its really small and has alot of output options. Definitely a good car
solution.

Wonder if we can talk him down a notch?

I would also be a little sahdy because the user has a yahoo.com.tw e-mail. If he was a broker I think he would have a more legit e-mail. Wouldn't you? Maybe someone can purchase a "sample".

I think you guys might be interested in reading the following Arstechnica article:
http://www.arstechnica.com/reviews/2q00/espresso/espresso-1.html
It provides a pretty good look at the Espresso. The link to the company is currently defunct, use this http://www.saintsong.com.tw/taiwan/www/it/english/ithome.htm instead.
If you're actually interested, it might be worth getting in touch with a rep from the company and seeing what current prices are, US distributors, quantity order discounts, etc.

These things have actually been around for awhile (the Ars article is dated 5-2000), they just haven't been getting much attention, it seems. Too bad, I thought the concept was pretty good for anyone who wanted a high power machine that was still portable, and who would have a monitor or other display device at the locations it would be used.
