Maybe we could even get our own msg board !
Think you'll have a chance to put the Pen Driver W98 drivers on your site ?
Also, can you clarify what you meant by driveS, with an S?
thanks

Ugh, it's "yellow1" again with his nonstop string of banal questions, all apparently designed to call attention to himself. Expect more.

This is pathetic...
Can you please stop "polluting" the debate here Freddy Boy ? If you don't know what to do, just turn your monitor on and off until you break the switch. That should keep you busy for a while...

Well guys since this is the thread I started lets not worry about this sheeit. How about we all just get along and let whoever wants to post a message post a message.

I already have the win98 drivers on my site actually, it works perfectly under mouse emulation mode and pen services with HWR works decent not the best though.

ok, found the link to the Stylistic drivers, but it appears to be the same file that's been there for several days. I thought you'd said that you were going to put them up last night.
I wanted to see if they worked on the Gateway pad. No hurry though.
cheers

stop making a nuisance of yourself, read this and you'll understand why you've been reported:
"4. NO FLAMING OR OTHER ABUSE - Personal attacks or other abuse are off topic and will be removed."
I'm sure I'll find quite a few people who agre that most of your posts qualify as "personal attacks" and have nothing whatsoever to do with discussing I-Appliances.

Reldridg,

How much response are you getting for people wanting to get in on the group buy after the cutoff? Maybe enough to set up a second group buy?

I know I would be interested in at least one of these units, possibly two.

Has anyone looked or found a lead on some accessories? Particularily the port replicator? I think the USB ports would be rather nice to have.

ASIC, I'm curious about USB as well. The machine has to have the guts for it, I doubt there's much the port replicator adds. I will be investigating this when I get mine.

I've sat idly by as Yellow1 has acted as a professional geek. Typical, asks questions that no one has an idea of. Re-asks questions of posts that just answered the question, and is just a pain in everyone's ass. It's nice to see other people bust his so called 'stones' more like pebbles!

Look if your going to shoot your face off on every topic on this board, and he does, he should expect to get flamed. He asks stupid questions on the epod, cf-01, this and every other board. Either contribute some info or just ask yourself your stupid questions.

Oh, and with the I'm going to tell behavior... what are you the board police. Go tell your mommy!!!

Better off just changing your name and start over. Your just another FRED!!

I have been looking around to find sources for Stylictic 1200 accessories. I found this site that does carry them
http://www.gscmobile.com/Devices/PenComputers/Discontinued/ST1200_Peripherals/st1200_peripherals.htm

Unfortuantly prices are not posted. I have already emailed for prices. I also asked about volume discounts. If they can be purchsed cheaply enough I'd just buy it for the nice 'finished' look. Regardless, does anyone have access to one of these? I don't know if there is much to one for something like the 1200, and it may be mostly a physical adapter that we could get pinouts for and make our own.

Is anyone familure with the innards of a port replicator like this? Is making your own feasable or cost effective?

i have not looked into the port replicator, sorry guys.

I can tell you that in the installed devices list an intel 82371ab/eb pci to usb adapter is listed and usb root hub is listed. so it has to be someplace i am liking my unit as is so i will wait for others to figure out how to make it work.

The signal to noise ratio of several threads has dropped with all the slamming going on. You know there is a place for that, it called USENET. I believe USENET has groups set aside just for that purpose.

IMHO, the best feature of semi private web forums such as the I-Appliance BBS is that generally there is some level of civil discourse. When the actual discussion gets buried in inflammatory posts we all have lost something. While it may be interesting to watch Jerry Springer, I don't think too many of us would like to go on that show. These forums are not the Jerry Springer show and I suggest that there are more appropriate communications methods that can be used to work out personality conflicts. I think we all would agree that the middle of a technical forum is not an appropriate place. As such, I would hope that we all have enough self control and respect for Ryan (group buy organizer and thread originator) and everyone else who participates to keep the Mickey Mouse stuff down to a minimum.

I hope no one minds me butting in with some information between the flame wars but I contacted the person on Ebay who won the 'complete' system on Ebay. I asked if he would share his drivers and I got the following response:

Sorry, I'm in the boat to. Mine came with no op sys, no media. In calling Fujitsu, I found out that was the way they came from the factory. You apparently ordered the unit with whichever OS you wanted, and it came preloaded. No CDs were ever issued. They did say if I would send the unit to them, they would reload it for $150 service fee. The lady admitted it was ridiculous, but that was the way it was. If you hear anything else, let me know. thanks.

So I think we added a new reader to the board, but he is looking for the same thinks we are. It appears that the setup CDs only went to the Resellers. I'll keep looking.

ic,

If you are trying to load windows 98 the drivers are included on the win98 installation cd.

The sound driver is for an es1878 and I am blanking on the video driver needed but it is included on the website.

Also if you are lacking in a driver jsut drop customer service an email they are rather prompt with attaching the drivers you ask for, usually about a 24 hour turn around.

If you don't want to wait for another group buy. Looks like this guy is trying to sell out of these on Ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1238987447

If you are interested in picking one up, he has 100 listed for $150 plus shipping.
