Slow BBS

Is it my PC or is this BBS getting slower and slower?

Every time I open a section it takes 10-15 seconds to open, and sometimes never does not to mention the time it takes to run a search. Do we need to get a fund together to help Codeman get a server upgrade? With 2593 registered members, I would think we could get a couple hundred of us throw in a few dollars, we could come up with enough to get upgrade of sorts.

I would be willing to contribute, What about anyone else ??

I agree. This is a wonderful resource, but it has become quite painful as everyone like myself checks it more often than the system apparently handles. I'd be willing to help.

I agree. How much would you pay for project plans of this quality, (that's if you could get them)? If Codeman will budget what it will take to aquire and maintain an upgrade that will last us awhile and post it we'll have a better grasp of what to do. Maybe a good place to start would be to calculate and announce what each member's amount would be if the site was to go paid(yech!, but possible) and work from there. The stats should be obtainable as to what percentage of members will pay on the honor system.

Yes the bbs is butt slow we have a new server built just have to get it moved over
hope to get it done this week
