You know its a good thing this law was not around when cars started or we would all be driving FORD's
look at it this way the gov spent all that money with microsoft in court for having a monopoly then
the gov passes the DMCA that would give company's the legal ground to have a monopoly, all you would
have to do is encrypt you data files so no one could make compatable software so if microsoft was to
encrypt WORD or EXCEL files it would not be legal to reverse the encryption, and make a compeating product.
as for Dimitri i dont see the grounds for aresting him he did not own the company he was just a programmer
and from the looks of it ADOBE's encryption is really weak, another good point for the DMCA you can now use
crappy encryption (rot13, XOR) and get away with not making a secure product.
So i hope all of the users here go out and protest because this does effect up ALL !!
and send some $$$ to the EFF they do work hard for us..
i will try and find out if Dimitri is still here in the north las vegas jail and if so i will
try to go see him..
