old_dog: Nice find, great price! However, without a spec sheet it is a long shot to get these working. I did a quick web search and did not find anything useful. I've never tried to get spec sheets from IBM. This may be a long shot also. It seems that many LCD panel manufactures are stingy with info regarding their products.

I don't want to be a wet blanket, but I have a small pile of LCD panels without spec sheets or pin-outs. Until I can find hook-up info for these, they are useless. I'd hate to see others starting a similar collection.

On the bright side, if you have a IBM 760EL this is the perfect opportunity to buy a spare display.

Electronics run on smoke, if you let the smoke out they won't work

The temptation was too great and I had to buy one.

I found some documentation for a similar unit. The doc is for Torisan LM-FE53-22NTK but we need Torisan LM-FE53-22NDK. I'm guessing the "D" is for dual scan and the "T" for TFT?

Also, for the unit I purchased, the wires and connector for the backlight were cut off flush to the unit. Has any one else had this problem?

hello
i guess you guys are also forgetting that you need the interface for the lcd screens as well as the flourescent bulb ,as well as all the driver circuits .which you can get from places like ww.eio.com and the like but to spend 200 or more on parts to get one up and going inst a good deal cause prices on flat screen are way down .
the only way for that to be a deal is to have a thinkpad or similar notebook with a damaged screen to replace otherwise spend your money on a refurbishe compaq ia
