We just found out that someone had gotten on IRC as "codeman" and started spreading rumors.
Don't believe it till you see it on the main page!
Ken asked me to post what he just told me over the phone:
"Unless you see it on my page, it's not true.
So far I have gotten two e-mails saying someone has a unit that won't boot or claimed that they were un-hackable. Both times I have offered to either look at it, or buy it from them.
In both cases, I have never gotten a response back, or anything shipped to me.
I assume they checked their connections or their software that they put on the boot drive and that fixed the boot problem."
So just keep a eye out here, we will post any new news here.
And anything as important as finding changes to the newly shipped I-Openers WILL be posted to the home page.
So even if someone posts something here, please confirm it by looking at the main page.
We are expecting a few new units in soon. Ken has a few local friends that have ordered, and he personally ordered another one today.
Till then, it's all just hot air!
(now back to hacking some perl code, flock, flock, flock....)
