$129 for a PII-300 Mhz CPU, 32 MB RAM, CDROM, AGP video, etc. No hard drive though, but what the hell, I paid almost this much for my inet's and they had no CPU's, memory, or hard drive either and one of the 2 I ordered was DOA so I ened up with 1 $99 paperwaight

I don't know, I haven't really thought about it. It's probably fixable because it does come up and show a startup screen, but doesn't always POST correctly, so I don't just want to give it away, but I don't expect to recover me entire investment. I'll ask you, what fair price would you like to pay for it? You can email me if you want at zfrangi @ att . net

if your boots up with post errors you can fix that by going into bios and checking the setting ,btw what's the post error is saying?
most common problem is hard drives not hooked up correctly or floppy drive cable not oriented correctly and make sure all cards are firmly seated i have encounter same thing few years ago when a friend of mine shipped the pc from los angeles to my cleveland doorstep and when i hooked up and powered it up -nothing and i quickly opened the case aha! cards were loose because he forgot to secure the mobo with screws ,i redid it and it booted right up no problem :)
they can work loose during shipment if not properly torqued all screws
and cables can come off loose or technicans at the store mistakenly plug in ribbon cable backwardly , on ide the red line is alway torward hd power connector and floppy drive depending on model it's torwared or away from power connector also on mobo all red line must point to pin1 labeled
good luck

Hey vwbug19, yeah, I tried all these things already. I think I should mention though that my issue wasn't that it doesn't always POST correctly like I said before. What I should have said is that it never POST's correctly. What I mean by this is that it locksup at time of POST and no keystrokes work. I'vd already tried swapping out porcessor, memory, and even tried disconnecting the hard drive & cdrom, but still a no go. I think that there's something wrong with the bios or something like that.

sound like you have missconfigured jumpers on mobo for cpu? if no jumpers ,is there a softmenu to set the cpu parmeters sometime a missconfigured cpu can lock up preventing a post boot
ive seen that on my abit bp6 dual celerons that locked up and it turns out cu was set too low for cpu(damn bios resets)

or it's probably bad bios ,if my memory serve that a downloaded bios.bin on floppy with flasher program might be booted since according to bios flashing info that it will use that bios.bin at boot time instead of mobo's bios

Well, I hadn't touched my Inet pc for the past 8 months and just the other day I played with it again. Well, guess what, I have finally gotten it to work (it turns out that this unit didn't like the PIII 866 I was putting in it with the 100 Mhz RAM). I put in a different speed cpu and it booted just fine and even loaded Win 2000 advanced server. Right now, it has a Celleron 466 Mhz processor in it, 128 MB of PC100 RAM, & a 4.3 Gig Maxtor Hard drive. I'm looking to sell it though because after I gave up on it, I picked up 2 of those new shuttle computers, so I dont really need it. The unit is still just as new as it was the day I received it because I never used it and i'll throw in all the parts I listed above. If anyone is interested, contact me back and make me an offer at zfrangi @ att.net (take out the spaces that appear in the email address).

Zack
