I gave $191 but I saw some go last week for $157 He also has 13.8" up for auction. It came in real good shape. Thought I might mount it in the family room stereo cab or in a wall It's heavy at 12 lbs but built for commercial use. His buy it now at his site is $297

Stretch: Does this come with the external floppy? Networking? How do you attach a CD? Looks like no separate mouse port -- serial mouse? Will the card slot hold a standard ethernet card?

These things are going for $300 - $250 right now. Wayne form Dunland seems to be the only one who has them for sale. He is willing to sell some to me for $225 if anyone is intersted let me know, a few more buyers might make the price go down a bit.

Hmmm,
Wonder if those Kingston 400mhz Cpu upgrade modules I bought awhile back would work on this?
PCMCIA to USB2 or firewire adapter after that!

No ps2 ports. I used a serial mouse . Also had to use a AT to PS2 adapter for the keyboard. This thing comes with the head unit only. Haven't had time to play with it much outside of powering it up and making sure it worked. the case is huge for a 12" lcd but like I said it is built for medical use. I was going to see if I can find a half height ISA network card to slip in it. I have a pcmcia cdrom.Price seemed to jump after I posted here.

Demand and supply vs supply and demand.
Betcha the price goes even higher the more interest is shown in this.
I myself got WAY too many toys.

OK, no floppy, no CD, no USB, no modem and no networking.

The question is, how to get drivers into this box to support an external data delivery device. I have a backpack parallel port CD writer, a PacRim parport floppy, a parport Zip drive, a Panasonic PCMCIA CD, a 3Com Etherlink PCMCIA net card, a Compaq PCMCIA modem, a Xircom parport 10-BaseT ethernet... but all require drivers from the supplied floppy.

What devices will the installed Windows recognize and configure on plugin from the default Windows driver CABs? OR how hard is ot to find the Planar external floppy drive?

It has a serial port, you should be able to connect to it with a null modem cable and send it software via hyperterm using a zmodem transfer.

NormConquest I take it you picked one up also which one the 12" or 14" ? I opened mine up today and took a look around. The hard drive is easy to get out. Looks like the only upgrade path for the cpu is to find a 200mz on a mobile type card that fits the mainboard, probably hard to find. Two slots for ram, also saw a 8 pin header for a crt. The manual says it will only take 5 volt pcmcia cards but I was able to get a buss card to fit in slot ok. I want to try a usb 2.0 card later hope it works. Lots of stainless steel on this unit, braces, screws etc. After I image the drive I think I'll run win 98se. Thats it for now.

Thanks for the info on the Cpu and other stuff stretch, You have saved me some money! I think I've lost interest in this device due to the limited Cpu upgradeability.
