Give it a few months, there are some real nice models coming out in late summer, with better specs (Lighter <3Lbs, faster, etc...) around the same price point.

FYI, this model does not adhere to the MS Tablet PC specs either. Maybe not a big deal for some of you, but for that kind of $$ I'd hate to have to worry about 'hacking' it to function properly with the new MS XP Tablet Edition OS.

Now that would make a very nice general purpose PC. Imagine snapping it into a mount in the car for GPS/Radio/MP3/HVAC control. When you get home drop it into a cradle on the coffee table for use as a Remote Control/MP3/Video machine. Take it to the kitchen for use as a recipebook and phone/address book. These are what I am trying to use my Iopener for, but this would be much, much more suited to the task. Now I just need to have time to write some specialized software.

Has any one seen the little laptop with the screen the flips around them folds down so you can use it for a pen tablet? It’s kind of like a new Sony palm pilots I am not sure who make them but M$ is supporting them.

What about the Qbe? It's been out for a while running Windows 98SE. I'm sure the new version (called Vivo) will run XP.

The vivo does not appear to support the reqs for "MS Tablet PC" to run XP Tablet Edition. Although it looks like a real nice unit.
