You're right - finding any 'technical' information on these is a bit difficult. Most of what Google turned up were press releases, news, and advertising...

codeman,

Any chance of digging the data sheet out on this one? They are starting to trickle out onto the market. They may be the next new toy.

If you live in Seattle, and you want to see one "live in action" Seattle laptop on Aurora has one on display. I'm not sure if it is the EXACT same model. Caution! They want a small fortune for it! (They also are selling the $67 IBM 8GB pcmcia external harddrive that ckbone tipped us on for $299)
Rather nice looking unit. I may even get one from pc surplus just for the heck of it. (Watch the price go up in a couple days after there is a demand for it).

Please if someone visits them don't tell them about this netvisita price at pc surplus. They (Seattle laptop) may buy mass units and none left for anyone else.

codeman has been kind enough to add a "NetVista" section under "Other I-appliances". I ordered one from pcsurplus a couple days ago. Once I get it I'll open it up and take some pictures.

I am surprised that Seattle Laptop has a internet appliance. I tried to get some parts for my webplayer and they didn't what I was talking about or what a mini-pci card was. Plus as you stated they charge $700 for a 100 mhz laptop. I'll stop buy today and check them out. PC liquidator is selling them on ebay for the same price plus $15 shipping so it's cheaper to buy them off their webpage.

Codeman-

If find that please post it. So it has a built in IDE header and modem and Ethernet any word on a touch screen.

Talked with Harlen? My hearing is bad...background noise.
He said it's upgradable to P-III 733 and may be up to P-III 933?

Please don't tell about this website yet...

Sounds like he may jack the price right now if a lot of interest!

Late lunch gotta go back to work!
