has anyone able to hack the new geforce mx440 agp card to add a 2nd vgaport or a dvi port? there are unpopulated pads for tiny caps/resitors plus the area where 2nd vga plugs in ,the stupid nvidia took out the 2nd vga portt/dvi port
i know that these nvidia geforce series cards supports multi monitors and im not paying 400bux for a ti4600 card!!!
If you are using it with windows, all you have to do is buy another cheap Video card win2k supports multiple video cards, they dont have to be the same.
buyinging extra card is not feastable for me cause of full irq slots and i hate to waste the slots and i'd prefer using agp slot for best performance like gamer cockpit view
and you say buying video card cheaper way? im on winxp! with good card and has to have matched cards so.... my geforce mx440 agp cost me 150bux and i thought it had 2 vga ports(there were 3 revisions of the same card) early cards had 2 vga ports or vga and dvi?????
O yes, I see your point about the IRQ's I didnt even think about that, I dont remember seing anywhere about the Video cards having to be the same, in fact I'm preety sure they dont, but I can only speak for sure about WIN2k, and I just took the test.
no you can use any two video cards or up to five i beleive. Just though in an old 8 meg card for your second montior. Most games have problems with dual montior out anyway. As for IRQ's you should be able share them via the OS so it should not be a problem eitherhack your own you will love it more
