Looks like they got some of Clinton's "spin doctors" to put their f###-up in a positive light. Now I'm just waiting for CC to give me the bad news. I suppose there is still a very slim chance mine will show up, but I'm not holding my breath. Sounds as if CC wants to sever the relationship with NPLI as soon as possible, even if it means dumping sales/orders. I'm tempted to demand a laptop as a replacement, but be satisfied when I get my $99+tax back.

Click here, it's the same article, but there is a link at the very end that says "talk back, post your comments"

It's time to post your comments! This guy that reported this never checked into any other information before he wrote that.

This is the link to the comment thing, if it works correctly

Remember, a editor reads them before posting.

is it worth posting your opinion to a board (zdnet) if they'll edit and post only what suits them?

an edited truth is not a truth at all.

(slashdot got it right. set filter=0 and you see the WHOLE unedited story).

How do you set the "filter" to "0"???

the filter (on slashdot) is via an 'option-menu' (that's the osf/motif term for that windows gadget) that lets you view replies based on their rating. AC's get a default of 0 as do moderated down flames and such.

but you CAN view ALL posts by setting your filter to 'pass all' (ie, value of zero).

<pedantry>

Actually, that would be -1, if you want to see everything. Zero is the default level, but things can get moderated down below that to -1. The idea of this is that trolls and other non-useful postings get ignored, but are still there if you want to see them.

</pedantry>
