FYI... I just got off the phone with NP. Was wondering why my order was delayed. I ordered 3/16 . The woman there said that I had a special note attached to my order since I ordered between 3/16 - 3/20. Apparently (this is what i was told) the i-openers made durring this time where not configured properly, and had to be sent back to Tiwan. She also informed me that since mine (and a bunch of others) had not shipped yet to the States it will be a while. Those people over there (Asia) also have a Holiday of some sorts (this according to NP), which is the cause for the delays, and units will not be sent to the States until Thursday. Typical appologies for the company took place at this time...blah, blah, blah. Anyways, she said it will probably be next week before I get it.

FYI my order number is 1897xxx.

Well, I just got off the phone with Chris from NP and was told a rather different story. According to Chris (whom I've had problems with on previous phone calls, fortunately I don't think he remembered me) orders made from the 16th through the 20th are essentially "lost" because CC placed an order for 700 during this time frame. SO, management is "personally" (this is where I got skeptical) calling Taiwan for "every" order placed between 16th-20th to make sure they have a high priority and to try and ensure that they ship. I ordered mine late on the 19th, it got entered into the system on the 20th (order number 2193xxx) and according to Chris I should see it by the end of the week. (I'll believe him when I'm holding it in my hand) Anyway, I'm not holding my breath.

I couln't have said it better my self... I'll believe it when I see it in my hands too. NP totally F***ed up on the way this whole thing came about, from start to end. I just keep calling every couple of days to see if it's shipped. You think that you talk to those people over there and they give you an answer that is close to what's going on. Obviously they're not going to say the "truth", but atleast to keep some kind of customer satisfaction they should give a realistic answer as to when a 'customer' will receive the unit. Some of the people calling are 'real' customers, they just don't know who. Oh well, I have no choice but to just wait it out. And I figure that if I can't use it (after hacking it) it would make a great coffee table piece!!!

I think if they shipped them back to Taiwan it was to reconfigure them, or they may be doing it locally and it takes time for their people to do.
Nobody is getting them on time!
