Just found this online. I think it's a good price at $25. I've
been wanting one to play with for a while. Anyone have any tips
for hacking them, pass them my way please.

Hitech burned me twice. I would not recommend them. Not a good return policy / BAD business etiquette.

I have thought about purchasing from hitechcafe several times before, but never did as I was unsure as to how reliable they were. And I was never sure if I would actually get everything listed.

I have an msn companion that I want to sell. If anyone wants it for $25, let me know at ranman at yahoo.com

That's strange. I've placed quite a few orders with HiTech and I really haven't had any significant problems. My biggest gripe is that their "in stock" numbers are off sometimes. They show that an item is in stock even though it is sold out. In this case they called via phone and asked what I wanted to do with the remainder of the order. HiTech assigns a salesman to a customer so you deal with the same person for every order. Maybe I just happened to get a good salesman. The only other problem that I've had is that sometimes they are slow to ship. It is usually a three or four days from order to shipment. It has never been more than a week. Fortunately, they don't really sell the kind of stuff that you "have to have" in a hurry .

Electronics run on smoke, if you let the smoke out they won't work

OK now do these things work?? These eMachines were all recalled a # of mo. ago for no longer working with MSN and were replaced with the Compac Ipaq companion. Have these been modified in some way to now work?? Thank You.
