Staples has the Belkin Wireless PCI adapter for $9.50. This isn't advertised anywere; I just happened to come across it. You'll find it with the rest of the wireless network stuff. There were five at our local Staples in Newark De.
Questions:
Is this a standard PCI to PCcard adapter?
Will other PCcards work with this?
Will other wireless PCcards work? Hope so, I have a Compaq wireless PCcard adapter.
I haven't installed it yet, and I won't have time to do so for awhile. Any insight is always appreciated.

This is may be too late. Radio Shack is clearing out their Compaq wireless inventory and I was able to pick up a USB wireless adapter and a wireless PCcard for $29.00 each. They also had a wireless router for $50.00. I found out about it on anandtech forums about two weeks ago, so it may be too late. If you see the Compag boxes have them scan them for you. The clerks at the Radio Shack I went to had no idea they were on sale. They usually have the inventory in the back.
