I have found a sight that is starting to offer touchscreen kits for small monitors. They are usb interface. The funny ything is that they are selling them with the typical car lcd's that have the rca inputs not vga monitors. I always thought that using touch screens with "video" lcds as opposed to "monitors" would be very inaccurate due to the differences in resolution and pixel distribution. The link follows...

go to the electronics section and click on the 7" in-dash monitor and scroll to the middle of the page for touch screen info.

I don't know how honest these people are, or maybe they are just clueless. They are showing Xenarc monitors like the one I have but claiming that they are running at 1280x1024? Interestingly when you click on their pictures the screen resolution is supposed to be going up but the items on the screen never get smaller. I don't know anything about their touchscreen kits but the monitor information needs some work.

My mistake, I went to Xenarc's site and they do claim that their monitor now supports up to 1280x1024. Of course it only has 800x480 pixels so I don't quite know how it can really "support" higher resolutions. They probably just changed the controller so that it doesn't go haywire with higher frequency signals.
