Some of the offers(necessary to complete for you to recieve your iPod) are very easy to try out with little risk. Basically you sign up for the PeoplePC offer, and tell them to send you a CD instead of downloading. After a week, I've been approved to get referrals. I called the PeoplePC support line to see if they had charged me anything, and was told that my account was not activated (because the software is required for activation) and that until I activated the account, no charges would be made.
