As I have mentioned in a previous thread, I'm looking for help on the migration from the current UltraBoard v1.62 to something better.

So I ask everyone to tell me which forum/board system they reccomend, if any can easily import data from UltraBoard v1.62, then it may win.

We will also need regex or perl, PHP skills in the likely case no easy migration tools exists.

Codeman has given me access to the RAW threads for the conversion. Sample thread avail. jsmmd@linux-hacker.net

My personal favorite seems to be Invision Power Board, but it's not free: http://www.invisionpower.com/

Second fav, VBulletin also not free: http://www.vbulletin.com/

Third, SMP, but only because it doesn't seem to have the 'skip to newest thread' feature, but *is* free: http://www.simplemachines.org/

I wasn't able to find /any/ converter from UltraBoard 1.62, definately post the converter if/when one is made, seems to be requested alot, but never full-filled.

I admin a SMP based board, I'll see if one of our PHP guys could help you out.

thanks for the reply. Codeman isn't against paying for an upgrade, but we all know free is good too..
