Anyone use this camera? Mini 640x480 USB Keychain Digital Camera

Any drivers for W2K/XP? Even though it says it does, it actually doesn't. Cute camera -- no more blue Dakotas around.

Thanks.

Not seeing a 2k/XP driver. shows up in gphoto2 as Argus DC-1510 on autodetect. photo count is correct, but images are not. I'm about to test the windows drivers under wine.

Ach.

Thanks. Since I don't yet have Linux working for me, could you tell me what the quality of these cameras are? Good enough for 3x5 prints? Any samples? A camera this small could be useful.

A few weeks ago I happened across an "as-is" new but returned "digigr8 1.3MP" for $5. It caught my eye because of the potential insights into the cvs cameras, having the cdrom and even the mini-usb cable (I had tried to locate one in the past for something else). Unfortunately after opening it up it was not based on the same chipset (it was spcxxx from memory) so it was of little use for the cvs hacks. I Fixed the problem (broken usb connector) and got a working camera. See the photos section for comparison. Though the pictures for this camera are decent, your 1/4 the resolution camera would easily be disappointing. It really is a toy though. Among the drawbacks are - pictures are not stored in flash and get lost when you remove the battery. All configuration such as high or low resolution gets lost every time you turn off the camera. It does work decently as a webcam though, and again there is a 50/60hz setting and mode that needs to be applied every time you turn it on.
