I know quite a bit about directv, but I don't know all that much about Tivo and how it works. I know that the customer has to pay a monthly [or lifetime] subscription to keep the tv listings updated. Does anyone know if its possible for us Canadian hackers to get a hold of this service from the other side of the border? Is there an alternative to the Tivo service?
I have a DTV Tivo system working in Canada it was working just fine with the Tivo call back on the 1-800 # but would not call to DTV 8-000 # so my Tivo service is discontinued till I can find a way for my reciver to call DTV.
