I have my Tiger.Dot modded, and Windows ME installed, but the e-mail light, and the blue power button light, and the lower buttons light dont seem to come on,that blue power light did before when KDE was on the unit, but it doesnt now. Also I dont get any dial tone in the phone, and the card reader doesnt seem to function. After I put Windows on my unit I did an update with Microsoft, and they mentioned some drivers that I needed for the ethernet, and card reader, and some phone adapter, but after I installed those updates, and before that these things dont seem to function on the unit,is these some additional software, that needs to be installed on the Dot to get these to function? I installed the dial-up phone modems, and this functions. Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, most of the lights and doodads on the dot.station are operated by the auxiliary PCI modem / DSP card, for which there are no Windows drivers. I was able to rig the harness on my box to convert most of the lights to their standard PC equivalents. (the blue lamps now come on when there is power on the 5V rail, the flash button became a reset button, etc.)

I never got anywhere with the PCI modem card, and finally just ditched it.

Good luck,

I appreciate the responce radarman.I see you wired the power button blue light directly to get it to stay on.This occured on my Tiger.Dot when it had KDE on it,but now that it has Windows ME it doesnt come on any longer.I was confused by that mention of that other PCI card you mentioned. Is that the phone modem you are mentioning.I did find the drivers for that,so i can dial out to the internet, but, the phone handset is also connected to this board, which is dead, there must have been another driver for that phone,to activate it.I suppose it could be connected directly to the phone system in the unit to make it work.I tried plugging it into a regular wall phone outlet, and the phone works, and it even rings by signaling with the blue light on its top.The card reader I mentioned is on the side,my Tiger.Dot didnt have this, just a blanking plate, but my Dot.Bob did,so I put it in that, along with that more populated pig tail wiring harness, but it doesnt work.I think it needs some special drivers for it to function.Windows Me sees it and tried to find drivers for it,but they were the wrong ones.
