In looking at my Dot.Bob,and my Tiger.Dot I noticed that someone had put epoxy(White) on the light/button board wire connectors on my Tiger.Dot,there was no epoxy on the Dot.Bob unit.I had to remove this to take out this small board.I also noticed that the 6 connectors that plug into this board were not pluged in all the way or correctly.I didnt notice this before.I also noticed that in comparing that side board on the monitor,it has alot of white epoxy on this board also, much more that the Dot.Bob does.Remember I mentioned in another thread that this board was probbly replaced because of the transformer not being on the cover of the Dot.Bob.Maybe when Wintergreen modded these they put all this epoxy all over in different places in the unit. Also when I removed this epoxy on that small board, and put the small board back into the unit, and pluged in all 6 plugs in,I got terrible feedback from the speakers.I had to turn the volume way down on the unit to prevent this, and decided to unplug the mic cable from this board.I think this occurs because the flash and speaker phone button on the top of the unit by the phone do not work.Having the Mic cable connected, could cause a problem,as when you put on the dust cover,it could cause serious noise problems.
