There are several threads where the forum date doesn't match the latest message date. For example, the "linux os" thread shows Last Modified of "04-29-2003 10:05:38" while the last posting in the thread shows "04-27-2003 09:58:19" This has happened several times, and is confusing because the thread looks like it's been updated when it really hasn't. What gives?

RE:What's up with the dates/times? (modified 0 times)
Basically it's me. As a moderator I'm trying to do my job to keep things neat and correct. (If the link isn't hyperlinked, a spelling mistake, etc...) Any time I make a change, that thread will show up as updated even though there aren't new posts.
If you need a message modified to correct a mistake the setup only gives you a few mins. I can make the change at any time. Just email me. I'd rather correct a message then have two on the board.

So the truth is out there after all... I'll cancel that call to Mulder and Scully. Thanks for the explanation, jsmmd. I had looked for "modified x times" in the threads, but when you administratively edit things it must not increment that counter.
