| I like your suggestions. Recently I use the mailstation, more as a minuture wordprocessor than as a email machine. Although I can use a laptop any time, the one I have available is often too heavy to make it worthwhile to carry with me. Also the price of the laptop makes it like being chained to an anchor. I am afraid to leave a laptop alone, because if it is stolen it would be a major expense to replace. While with the mailstation at $80, of course I don't want to have it stolen but if it did, I could take the loss much easier.
On the mailstaion I write the notes that I might want to include in a document. Later I email them to myself and pull them into Word. The editing feature that I miss is using the function key to have the cursor skip word by word, as can be done throughout standard applications.
For a couple weeks I had one of the black mailstations, that is locked into the mymailstation ISP. It had the control function of function S, which opened up the setup screen. The white unlocked version does not have that feature. | |
