Routing email smaller than 8KB to the Mailstation

Sorry if this has been already discussed... I'm new to this forum and I didn't see anything similar.

I just got a Mailstation so I can easily check my email in the living room.
The problem I'm having is related to email bigger than 8KB. If the email is bigger than 8KB, the Mailstation basically looses it when set to retrieve&delete the email from the server (It displays a message saying the size is too big, but when I go to my mail server via my computer the email, of course, is not there anymore, since it was deleted from the server by the Mailstation). If I set the Mailstation for NOT deleting the mail from the server I'm getting a very anoying behaviour: suppose I have 4 emails on my Inbox, the first time the Mailstation dials in, the 4 emails will be retrieved - the second time it dials in they are retrived again, making me have 2 copies of each email, for a total of 8 emails. So, if I don't go to my email server myself and delete email from time to time I'll end up with hundreds of copies of the same email delivered to my Mailstation.
-> The first question is if this is WAD (Working as Designed) or if there is some setting I'm missing? What I would like is that the second time the Mailstation dials in, it doesn't bring again the older 4 emails, only new ones...
-> The second question is the following:
Has anybody figured out a free Web email provider that filters emails based on their size? My idea was to try to find such a filter and have my email forwarded to this address, where the Mailstation would then retrieve only those messages that it can handle (less than 8KB), and I could set it to always delete the email from the server - the bigger emails would still be available on my old server and I could see them using my computer.

Any ideas or has anyone tried to setup something like this already?
Suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

www.trancell.com may be able to do what you're looking for. It was intended for cellphones, so it can break up emails to SMS size packets, but not sure about 8k packets.

I feel your pain. My solution is a bit different. I have my own domain name, mydomain.com. My email address is then jack@mydomain.com. Now I set the DNS mail entries to forward all mail addressed to jack@mydomain.com to TWO different POP mail boxes, one is the one I hook my mailstation up to and the other is my "normal" mailbox that I use from my PC.

I set up the Mailstation to delete mail from the server. If the mailstation recieves mail that is too big and is deleted, I don't mind since a copy of all mail is also sent to my normal PC's mailbox.

Does this make any sense?
