Anyone here able to get XP to work correctly on a Scovery?

I have 2 scoverys with K6-2-500 and 256Meg RAM.
I tried loading XP on it, everything works except networking.

The on board intel network interface, does not seem to like DHCP.
And the system seems to crawl, with some kind if system/interrupt conflict.
