The audio connects via the headphone jack, the CD would require a hardwired cable. I used the CD as a way to upload to the iO and WebPlayer drives using a multi-connector (3) ribbon cable, outside the docking station. There's some stuff in the board archives here about the HiNote, that's what got me to buy a few....
