It would be used for an integrated temp/rpm monitor + controller module in a liquid cooler project. As it needs to be pretty small, accessible through TTY and PC (DOS) compatible, Something in the 386-to-pentium range would be quite sufficient. Unfortunately these are kind of rare and costly on eBay.
PC/104 or EBX (w/ PC/104 header) form factor preferably, 5V+ only operation a bonus.
