Last week, I just purchased the PNY SODIMM 128MB (part# 6416YESWM-CS) from the local Best Buy for $100 (after the rebate) and am wondering if anyone has tried this SODIMM RAM onto his/her IO-pener? Does anyone care to comment if this SODIMM will or will not work under IO-pener?
This week, Best Buy has a sale for this type of memory for US$80 (after rebates). I am wondering if anyone has a success story in using this particular memory.
Whats so special?
The store "Best Buy" is VERY VERY local for me. I can be there in 15-20 minutes and have my module! They accepted my old PNY 64meg module (I kept the box)that I paid approx. $44.00 for at OD, In exchange (They gave me $54.29 Store credit) towards the new 128 Meg module . So it cost me about $5-10 bucks to upgrade to the 128Meg module from the 64 once I receive the rebate...
Also,
If I need to exchange it due to it being bad or other problem I can do it in 20 minutes or less....No postage. Maybe $2.00 in gas at the most.
And by the end of this year, I bet the price will be down to about the same or even slightly lower than the current Mem to go price! AND I can go back and get a guaranteed price match to lowest current retail!
