I could not get my x10 remote to work either. I have had intermittent problems with some wireless keyboards too. Any ps2 splitter should work, but as soon as I say that someone will post a message about a spliter they bought that did not work.

Spliter that has Ends Labeled "KeyBoard" & "Mouse"
Plug into Wrong Ends to switch the Signals.

Like The IDE Hard Drive Connector,
The Mouse Clock & Data Signals or Reversed with those of the KeyBoard.

A Splitter without the Ends Labeled is A Straight thur "Y" Cable.
& wouldn't Work any better than just trying to plug the device straight into the I-Opener PS/2 Port.

I Know How hard Search "Keyboard" is, So I thought I would just bump this up.

Yes, "or" should be "are" in my last post. Would be K00L If I could Edit My Mistakes.

Always ReRead Your Posts. use "Preview First" button.

Those Looking for FAQs, Try "Search" !
Better to ask a Question @ the end of an old Thread on the Subject,
Then to Start a New Thread ! That is what clogs up the Search results.

Asking Dumb Questions is considered "Trolling" & are normaly, Just Ignored.

Oh & just a thought, Maybe some should consider this a Reading Room,
NOT a Chat Room ! (just my 2 cents)

Just Bumping this back to the Top So Some of The New Dudes Can Find It.
You could move the Wires around where the Cable connects to the curcuit board.

There are few Pinout Threads in The Reference Section. (Don't ask Questions There.)
It is For Reference Facts. Help Keep It Clean.
Thanks, * StarFish *

Since we are on the subject, I'll throw in the fact that two of my "standard" Compaq keyboards failed to work with my i-opener in Windows. They worked in DOS and BIOS, but not Windoz. These are my standard keyboards from my service bench (aka "known good working").
I traded out for my 1992 IBM keyslab (using the same cable as I had used with the Compaqs) and all worked just fine.

I used a no-name splitter from the local rip-off shop. Plugged my mouse into the mouse port and they keyboard into the keyboard port.

Works like a champ.
