Hello,
At powerleap they have this: http://www.powerleap.com/PL_K6_III.htm . Now would this work in an i-opener and yes I do or will have an external ps supply to power it. This would be a easy, no-solder solution for me. Thanks for the input guys!

I wouldn't bother with it. The powerleap adapters have been notably incompatible with the Iopeners.

who has actually tried a powerleap adapter in their i-op?

I have, didn't work.

Supposedly there is an older version of the Powerleap called the "98" version that does work, but it must be special ordered and costs a bit more.
