I was going back through the moderated forum, and there's this thread regarding the I-mod 2 shorting the motherboard....well pay particular attention to the last three posts on this thread:
No i didn't realize that. Dipping the entire drive in some kindo of rubber paste is questionable. what happens to the ide slot? what about the power slot. there are so many things that covering them may produce problems. and where does the heat dissappate if it's all covered up. these are the problems that arises i would think.
but then it isn't as funny as some other guy cutting a piece of plastic and using it as a cover for his screen (mp3boombox ?) hahaha, that was funny. j/k i'm just making fun of everyone know. no pun intended. haha.
for myself, the dumbest thing i've done was screw together the back cover and stand of my iopener only to realize that I had forgotten to replace the heatsink. hahaha.
