I just ordered a new iopener from HSC and I expect that it will be a V5. I've seen some scattered talk about the V5's and I just wanted to clear a few things up:

1. V5's from what I understand have the BIOS epoxied in place. Is there a way to flash it WITHOUT removing the chip from the board?

2. The Yamaha audio chip was replaced with a different chip. Can anyone tell me what the new chip is? Does V5 audio work with Linux? Has anyone made a line-out audio mod?
