PS/2 mouse not working

New MessagePS/2 mouse not working (modified 0 times) Georgie

I have a stupid problem here with my PS/2 mouse. I made my own PS/2 splitter and when firing up the new setup - new keyboard and a Logitech scroll mouse - the mouse just wouldn't work. The keyboard is OK.

I know that the splitter is good because I can use the built-in "mouse" of the original IO keyboard. Yes, the new keyboard on the keyboard connector, and the IO keyboard connected to the mouse connector, acting as the mouse. This setup works which I find most weird. But if I connect a *real mouse* to the mouse connector of my splitter that mouse wouldn't work. - Tried an Intellimouse and this Logitech scroll mouse, none of them woud work.

My question is: what the heck is this? TIA

I've had to pull mine out a tiny bit to get it to be recognized...try that.

The I-Opener Mouse uses different pins of the PS/2 Connector than a Regular Mouse.

You can only have One Mouse & one Keyboard hooked up to this Port.
The I-Opener Keyboard is one of each, unless You disconect some wires.

You might try switching the keyboard and mouse- plug the mouse into keyboard plug & visa versa. You need to do that with standard splitters.

Thanks....

Stupid me. I don't know why, but I soldered lines 2 and 6 into one of the female connectors at positions 2 and 6, instead of 1 and 5. No wonder the mouse was not recognized...

Sorry everyone.
