Hibernate
How do you get hibernate to operate in WinME ?

I assume I have some driver problem, but I can't get the hibernate option on my Iopener.

Where should I look?

I believe it's in the power options?

Well that's the problem, it isn't listed under any options, and windows won't enable it.

I just found these drivers, I have no idea if they will work, they are for an NEC Versa AX laptop. I will let you know what happens. The reason I was looking, is that WinME says my video driver has to be updated in order to use Hibernate.

Again I solved my own problems. When I installed the Win ME driver, and did the reboot, I immediately gained Hibernation support.

I don't know if everyone need the driver, but I did.

There are some newer (at least to me) win98se/95 drivers on there also:
Please excuse my poor linking skills.

Since I am still battling the vid screen not shutting all the way off (a now 'classic' iopener battle)
I may try these.

well, happy days for me.
The drivers at the location i posted above have fixed my
monitor shutdown problem. Screen now shuts completely off after a few minutes of
inactivity. This is in win98se. It was a beautiful site.

Is there a way to get the computer to go into hibernation by hitting the power button once? I'm using the drivers from the page above on win ME. Also, I set the timer for hibernation to 10 minutes, but if winamp is playing, it will never go into hibernation. Is there a way around this? I want to use this in my car, so I can just leave the music playing and it will go into hibernation after an hour or so.

There are some power options, but hibernate is still new to me, however so far it has worked while using the Warplink lan without crashing.

The bios also has some power options, but I don't know if they override the WinME options.
