How to Remove Rivets?

Hello:

I know this is a dumb question... but how do you remove the rivets on the RF shield? Should I just drill them out? What size holes are they?

Any help would be appreciated.

You don't need to drill through the rivet. Select a drill bit larger
than the head of the rivet.

A rivet has a closed end and an open end that's "crimped". Drill a
little while on the crimped end. The rivet will then fall out of the
hole.

BadFlash:

I need to do this because my hard drive is too large for the RF shield; and so, I can't use the RF shield now. The IMOD-3 with my 12mm hard drive already makes a tight fit with some bowing on the case.
