"Thick" letters on graphics

I just got my V5 i-opener. I installed a bios from badflash. I find that the fonts in windows and in DOS look funny. Some of the letters are thick and blocky. I realize this is not a high quality screen, but my problem seems to be more than that. Has anyone experienced anything like this?

I'm going to guess that you're running at a resolution of 640x480. The cyberblade is converting your 640x480 to the output of 800x600 (the fixed resolution of the screen) in order to do this, the controler doubles some lines causing the "thick" fonts you refer to. To fix this in a graphical environment (windows, x, etc) simply change your resolution to 800x600.
