I have resoldered q16 with a homemade heatsink hopeing to cool it down a bit, but now my io wont boot. I get a blank black screen, same one when the bios is not in the socket. when i put the q16 back on the board, the top metal part on it is not connected to the place which is was soldered to the mobo, does it need to be connected? I thought it was just to help cool it. So im trying to say that q16 is only soldered to the mobo in two places, not three like it was. Any ideas? Im going to unsolder it and take the one off my other io to see if i killed q16. O boy this is going to be a long night.

Don't know about RS, but Badflash has them, and the .13 ohm 10 watt resistor.

Q16 does in fact need to be soldered in 3 places. If you raise it up and connect it via wire you need a HUGE heat sink or it well melt off the board.
