Um....I screwed up. :) I broke the leg off u16 whilst trying to solder to it.

I'm in the process of GENTLY whittling a notch out of the chip and trying to solder to the conductor. Not an easy task at all.

My question is whether or not I have any other recourse for making this usable. I mean, I could replace u16 if I knew what it is, which I don't. Is there anything else I can do to make this thing work other than replacing it? I have no problem with doing that, but I was hoping to use it this weekend when I go on a trip.

Any ideas? Help?
