alternate 5v inout for fan? (modified 0 times) _chrismage Profile | Email i shorted the connector on my i-mod 3 by grounding it with my case while transferring files. I plugged my fan into what i belive is an rs232 header on my motherboard. It is below the cpu and above the memory slot. Is this sufficient power? my chip is running at 104 farenheit.
