What iOpener version / Bios does your K6-II+ / K6-III+ work in?
Puzzling things out.

If you have gotten a K6-III+ or K6-II+ to work in your iOpener, please let me know what version motherboard and BIOS you used. I'm using a V1
motherboard with "plain vanilla" BIOS and a separate 2.x volt power supply. I can jumper for 2.2v to run a K6-II or III (no plus) just fine, but don't even get the "nothing but net" screen with either a II+ or III+ jumpered for 2.0 volts.

I'm curious if only the V4 and later can run a II+/III+, voltage issues aside, or if there is something special in the BIOS, or ...?

Any ideas?

The patched V5 bios or the old V1 bios all support the K6-II+ and k6-III+, they just don't reprot them properly on boot up.

V4 and V5 with dip switches support the beast directly with proper dip switch settings for 2.0V. V3 needs a 10K resistor to set 2.0V and needs moving of jumpers via soldering to support split CPU voltages. To go over 200Mhz you need to bypass the power supply over current protection and modify the Q16 circuit to prevent burning the motherboard. See the tech ref section for details

The problem isn't the power supply; I have done the split voltage mod, and
am using a different supply running power to the chip at a solid 2v. The problem, though, is that I just get a blank screen on startup with that chip. I was curious if the v1 motherboards with v1 BIOS might need some additional jumpering. I can actually
boot my plain K6-III at 2.0v, but not the K6-II+ and am wondering if the chip is bad.

hay look for my POST on howto install the K6-2/3 + processors posted on the BBS. its a STEP BY STEP howto on setting up a V3+ IO. BUT NOT INCLUDING io's with the sw4 for cpu volatage changing.
