ok guys, I was a dumbass and plugged in a 300W ps to the power connector on the IMOD-3 board, and turned on the system, needless to say the imod board blew out on the power line, but I know I can fix this just resaudering the connection back together. But now the system will not boot at all. Can anyone tell me what else on the motherboard I have most likely killed, and how if possible I can fix this without having to send it somewhere for a professional to look at,

Thanks

Noen

If what actually happened is what I think happened, then you probably blew a fuse in your power supply after causing a short (by, for example, allowing all four pins of the back of the molex connector to hit a piece of metal at the same time). Get a different power supply, and try that, it will most likely work.

well, try to be Specific... one of the Stupidist things I did, was hook the 2.5 HD adpt to power in the IO... this blew a part, and, some Great guys came to my rescue.. I forgot, _exactly what it was... a part, near the ide connector... nice smoke and all... try a search on my nick... maybe last spring or so...

ok, I found your previous post, redwood, you said it was Q35. I finally found Q35, it's the second from the bottom of the 4 similar chips aligned vertically correct? Should it look like its blown out, or is that something I would have to measure with a multimeter? Also I dont suppose you still have a left over replacement from your accident that I could buy from you? Thanks man,

Noen
