If you're using the Yamaha drivers for your sound chip....check out this free add-on utility. It promises to tweak your sound system. Loaded ok for me, but haven't had time for a thorough check.....

WOW FOUND A BAD BUG WITH SAX BOMB AND THE IOPENER.

if you run sax bomb. DO NOT ENABLE 44HRZ!!!

IF you run a midi file PERIOD you'll lock up hard, REBOOT or bluescreen. there is no work around with out a software pach or rewrite. This means that if you visit a web site which has a MIDI file embeded in it you'll LOCK UP!!!

it must stay at 22hrz or below.

My settings ARE AS FOLLOWS

reverberation enabled
mpu soft synth out enabled
22050 hz
32 voices

enable srs enabled does nothing by why not :)
3d box enabled again doesnt do any thing special enhanced the seround thats about it
ymersion thats what you perfer, i used desktop
i dont deal with the power mangment

as for the other option's the only one i enable is ENABLE zv port, I'm hopping that this may make it so DVD'S can be played have not tested it yet!!

Look....it's pretty obvious MP3 doesn't care about spelling or grammar. He's even said so. It's also obvious no-one over the age of eight who can read, is such a bad speller. "Teh" for "the", and so on. These are more than typo's....he's doing it by design....perhaps for the sake of attention. Sort of like piercing your eye-brow and wearing a stupid-looking ring. Whatever.... I will say here that MP3 has some interesting things to say, probably has helped many people with his posts. But....I also, find it very difficult to understand some of his posts. Not to mention I'm the graphics designer for a NEW gaming consol comming out that is based completly on linux, and OH gues what they seem to like the mandrake which I introduced them to. DUE to the mear size and what is in the distro.

I dont have much time on my hands to FIX my errors. TRUST ME I'D LOVE to have an online spell check OR in browser spell check. YOU LISTINING MICROSOFT!!!

INTERGRATE WORD's spell check into internet explorer would be perfict for me!

No-one who has ever posted on this board is immune from occasional lapses in spelling and grammar....after all, this is a BBS, not a term paper. However, if you want to be read, if you want to be taken seriously, if you want to be understood, you should make a decided effort to be coherant in your writing...and that includes spelling "the" correctly. If you can't take the time to do that minimum effort, you're probably not going to be successful....as a poster on this BBS, and in any other endevor you may attempt. How did you fill out a job application? You have to write things in your line of work, don't you? Can anyone understand you? Damn....it's not so hard to write on a fifth grade level, is it? You want people to read things you write, obviously you do....most of us here speak English. If your education is flawed, did you ever consider night school? Blaming your parents for your short-comings just won't cut it.

Sorry MP3....but I just have to shake my head every time you post anything...even if it is something useful.....now go ahead and find a spelling error here.

try coherent not coherant

on this BBS, and in any other endevor you may attempt. How did you fill out a job

try endeavor not endevor

even if it is something useful.....now go ahead and find a spelling error here.

Congrats MP3, See you do care!
Just think if one was a Doctor and misspelled a drug name on a prescription. That could be a disaster!

Or left out one zero on a fuel load for a shuttle launch and nobody noticed it until the orbiter was well into
liftoff!

Or engineering typed the wrong hardener compound for an exotic high strength composite for a space station module.

In the technical world spelling is very important.
so is attention to DETAIL.

Going on a date? Bet you check you face to see if no boogers is hanging from your nose, Your fly is zipped? No TP hanging out from pants or bottom of your shoe? Breath smells ok? Important details huh!

yO dUdEz!! sIx thIs tHrEAd cAUsE ItS dEAd..

I type really fast too.. and I frequently make errors on typing.. but I've been doing it for so long that most of the biggies don't show up.. I do make the occasioanl teh and I don't even bother to correct it.. and I could care less if I accidentally spell something wrong, as long as it's not R10 instead of R100 where such a mistake would make a huge difference.. If you happen to come accross a a teh or an a instead of an an, I would expect that as long as the structure of thepost is easy to follow and the concept is easy enough to follow that no one will care.. Anywat, I haev at times had difficulty reading mp3boomboxs' threads, but not enough that I couldn't follow what he was trying to say.. another view from what he said, don't want to take the time to read it; don't. most of his posts are for YOUR benefit not his. Though I bet if you look for stuff where HE'S asking for help, I bet they're easier on the cognitive skills..
