Does anyone know if the "Micro 5V/12V Power Supply" on BadFlash.com will work with the PL K6-2 adaptor? If not what are my other options???

If it has similar power requirments as the Kingston TurboChip which uses a K2-400, Kingston documents that it requires 23.x watts. BadFlash's power supply is 1 watt, I had asked him if he thought it would work and he replied that most likely it wouldn't work. Badflash recommendation was to check out http://www.jameco.com for a larger power supply.

The power supply is a little beefier than 1watt, but will not provide enough juice for a project like this. My micro power supply is good for 12V at 1 amp and 5V at 1 amp. That is 17Watts altogether, but the 12V is the important one for this application. You will need at least 2 amps at 12V to get the required power.

Here is a really wacked out idea. Don't know why it would not work and the price is right.
http://www.compgeeks.com/details.asp?invtid=205-5035 has 6V 2.1 amp power supplies for just 85 cents each. Put two in series and you should get 12V at 2.1 amps. The connectors on these are the right ones for the IO 19V input, so if you have one of those 19V jamesco power bricks with the wrong connector, you can put these to use.

They also have a buch of cheap used AT and ATX power supplies.

Unless there's an Isolation transformer inside, I wouldn't try it. generally these type of devices connect their (-) side to their ground. Putting two in series could cause a short to ground potentially damaging the brick, or more. a quick way to test for potential danger would be to buy 2 of them, plug them in, then put a voltmeter between the ground of one and the positive of the other. If you get voltage do not try to connect them in series, else it should be safe.

Can anyone point me to details on using a power supply from an external scsi drive case for the PL adaptor?

ZmanHK.....There's really not too many details. The internal power-supply plug for the scsi cdrom or hard drive is the same plug, same color wires, that you need for the adapter. You simply extend the wires....I'm using that setup for mine right now. I've got two different setups....I'm using the scsi cdrom box for now. Here's some pictures:
