just found my io again after like 6 months in a closet. didi a serach and didnt find the results. has anyone got the audio out working for a v5 so u can just use rca line to my car cd deck?
Are you talking about just running a couple of wires from the sound chip to an external audio jack on the IOpener? If so, that's been done. The only way anyone's been able to do it is by going straight from the pins in the audio chip, though. Pin 35(left channel) and 36 (right channel) along with any old ground connection allows sound to be controlled by the IOpener volume slider and from software "master volume" controls; pin 39 (left channel) and 41 (right channel) along with any ground connection will give you a separate sound source independent of the IOpener's volume slider and separate from software "master volume" controls (software "PCM" controls seem to control volume in this case, at least that's how it worked on mine. I have an IOpener 2001, but the sound is the same as on the V5).
You don't need to pay someone to do it for you. With good magnification and strong lighting soldering to the pins is not that difficult. I needed to abstain from caffeine for about a day beforehand, though.
I sell the audio mod for the v5's, which uses a form of an opamp. and gives line level output, CLEAN. It will work with but is not designed for high impendence head phones.
