It's not a Dauphin, but it's still available...
Small keyboard, if anyone's interested

With the drying-up of the surplus Dauphin keyboard supply, the current bargain seems to be this one from Marlin P. Jones . It's not quite as small as the Dauphin, but it is just a little narrower than the i-o's case. And it has a 6-foot cord.

Even though it has a Windows key, there is a happy little ironic twist for those of us (well, me at least) using DR-DOS. The Windows key maps to ctl-esc, which is the default DR-DOS task switching key combo...

By the way, I just discovered that bbb65 mentioned this keyboard back on 4-05-2000. And I thought I was being original.

Check out ebay for a BTC Mini - I bought one for $20. They have a real keyboard feel. Black too. Quite nice!

The Dauphin keyboard that I tried really, really hurt my hands... and I have long, thin fingers. I can't imagine what it would do to someone who had bigger hands!

Weirdly, I'm currently using a spare iMac keyboard and borg usb optical mouse via the usb port on the back. It works like a charm and it takes very little space... you just have to remember to enable USB Keyboard in the BIOS. I've also gotten it to emit a Ctrl-Alt-Del - if anyone's curious I'll post the key combo later when I'm back in front of a PC with an iMac keyboard :)

I've never actually seen a Dauphin, but I'm borrowing a BTC Mini while I wait for my MPJA mini to arrive. The BTC is a neat little keyboard--the only thing I need to remember is to not boot up with numlock turned on, since the number pad is embedded in the alpha keys...
All kludge, all the time.
