Try this new program for tweaking the FSB (front side buss). Like SoftFSB this prog can raise the FSB speed, effectively speeding up the whole system, without even a reboot. This is more complete prog than SoftFSB in that it will save your settings on a cold restart (you only have to set it once), plus it displays the FSB speed in the tray, and allows a fast speed change with a right click on the icon. Best of all, using this program, I am now able to run my Winchip2 machine at 225mhz.....it's faster. With SoftFSB I could never get over 210mhz. Get it here:

Here are the settings I used:
Mainboard.......AOPEN
Mainboard type.....none
PLL manufaacturer.....Cypress
PLL type......W156A
Adjust frequency to set (start at 70,then try 75)
Click set frequency to make changes
The current frequency is displayed in a window
You can adjust the four frequencies displayed on the taskbar
Set the frequency at startup (mine starts at 70)
Set the frequency at shutdown (set back to the default of 66.3...prevents windows shutdown problems)
This is a shareware prog...$13 registration fee eliminates the small nag screen...and opens up some more options. Also be aware this prog could cause damage if used improperly (wrong settings). If you try a speed too high, it'll just lock up...reboot to restart. I got my winchip2 to run at 225mhz, the benchmarks are much higher. I haven't tried it on my other machines yet...but it should work on all I-O versions. Use at your own risk.....
You'll be surprised at the improvement...neat program.
