I am planning to give an IO to someone in my family, who is in Europe. I would like to know whether the stock IO power supply/wallwart will work without internal modifications. I mean the electronics inside. I can use a simple plug converter for the external plugs. Basically, the question is: is it an "auto-sensing" 110/230V supply, or a 110V only? TIA

RE:IO wall wart at 230V - How to modify it? (modified 0 times)
The one I have is NOT autosensing! Most I believe are the same? A auto sensing unit will have 110-240 VAC on the label
My i-O walwart has 110-120VAC @ 50-60HZ input 19VDC @ 1.84Amp output.
You will need to obtain a autosensing Laptop powersupply and plug adapter @ 19VDC "1.84 amp output minimum", European voltage converter or European walwart.
I do NOT recommend modifying your original i-O powersupply unless you are an EXPERT and know exactly what you are doing. Potential Fire hazard!
My .02 cents worth...
