VIA Busmaster driver 3.12 BETA
Finally...A VIA driver you can actually see working!

Try this new driver at your own risk....install it in the safe mode. It is working on my V4, with an IBM drive. For the first time this drive as well as the sandisk is recognized correctly in the Device Manager. It gives you the option to adjust the DMA mode your drive is in. I am in the process of trying it on my three I-Openers. It supposedly was not designed for the MVP4 chipset directly, but should work, as it is doing on mine. More testing to come......

FWIW....I'm doing my testing with the 4in1 driver V4.32, as well as this new driver, VIA Busmaster 3.12 BETA. This looks promising......

Three different installs of this driver went ok...two Win98, one ME. Two of the three hard drives support UltraDMA modes, according to the VIA utility. However, when I tried to set UltraDMA mode2, upon a reboot, the mode goes back to default. There is no documentation that I can find about this......if anyone knows something about this new driver, please post. I'd like to get DMA enabled on these two drives that support it. What I can't figure is that before this driver install, one of the drives supposedly was running in the DMA mode.....but not after the install. Haven't done any benchmarking yet......
