Hi,
I hope someone can help me diagnose an intermittent problem that I'm having with my i-opener. When running kernel 2.2.19, the i-opener is very reliable--it has never crashed. However, after upgrading to the 2.4.3 kernel, I've been having some crashes. These happen only when hanging up the modem, which incidentally coincides with a sound being played in GNOME. The crash doesn't happen every time I hang up, maybe 1 in 5 times or so. I turned off the GNOME sounds, and the crashing stops. These symptoms made me think of an IRQ or memory conflict, or maybe a misconfiguration when compiling the kernel. I'll post my kernel config file and /etc/modules.conf below. (Sorry that this is such a HUGE message. I'm just trying to provide all potentially useful info.) Can anyone suggest any changes or please post their config files?
Other misc. stuff:
I have a USB mouse, Hitachi 6.5GB hard drive, and 64MB RAM. I connect the i-opener to my desktop PC with a null modem parallel cable, and share the i-opener's modem with the desktop computer.
